Touchscreen Phones Can Soon Automatically Send SMS

With technology reaching new levels with each passing day soon we can see touchscreen phones automatically sending SMS to people.  Researchers have developed a new prototype which will let touchscreen phone users send text messages even when their phones are inside their pockets. It would work in a way like whenever a fabric of cotton, silk or thick fleece touches the phone’s screen it would be able send sms.

This feature would indeed be very helpful for people who are always busy in meetings and conferences. The user can simply place his finger on the pocket holding the touchscreen phone and handle a call just by locating a message like “busy in a conference” on the fabric above the hidden screen. The touch screen mobile will then understand the message as it has a program to decode the handwriting after the scrawling sort.

This prototype uses sensors same as those used in touchscreens and is placed in the back of smartphones. This technology is a very innovative way of sending messages to people and hence can be used for various purposes. This application named PocketTouch will send messages secretly to people when users do not wish to reveal their phone out in public.

Most of the touchscreen phones are calibrated in a specific way by only responding to direct touch with finger and detaining other different signals. However this is totally a different application which will calibrate continuously by the touch of different fabrics.

Now users can easily attend their meetings without getting disturbed and disturbing other with the help of PocketTouch.
